If your site has received recognition or notoriety, don't be afraid to brag about it. One of the reasons Yahoo! is becoming more selective is because they are going for quality rather than quantity. Space out your submission attempts by a month to six weeks. If you don't live in the United States, submit to the appropriate geographical Yahoo! They take that into account. This isn't Chinese checkers, it's the new web marketplace. Most importantly, don't give up. We almost did. Thanks to that timely reminder from Michael Wong, we gave it another shot. Well yes, and no. Anyone can write a letter
like this. It isn't that difficult to be polite and cordial. There are a few key
points to consider, however. It is very important to have the exact dates available
that you made your online submissions. The tech. support folks will use those to
go through their records and categorize your site. They want to make sure you
aren't spamming them. They want to retrieve the site description you submitted.
